Michelle

Office Manager

I started working in the dental field when I was 15 years old and still in high school. My experience in the dental field began as an expanded duties auxiliary and licensed dental radiographer. After receiving my certificates from the University Of Florida College Of Dentistry, I worked in the General Dentistry field for 20 years. When I joined Dr. Darryl Fields’ periodontal dental team in January 2008, I was excited to learn about this amazing dental specialty. Not to mention, I enjoy being able to work beside such a talented and skilled dental surgeon. His work has acquired quite a good reputation throughout the dental community and when I was asked to come on board and assist his team I was thrilled. I am honored to be able to work so closely with our dental patients throughout their full treatment process. I have an amazing job and love every part of it.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband and four girls. I am very active in my church and teach a financial curriculum to our church members to help teach them how to become debt-free and stay that way. I stay very active and enjoy working out when time allows. I love photography, scrapbooking and sewing.

Surgical Assistant

I went through the dental assisting program at FCCJ and graduated in June 2006. I started working for Dr. Field in September of that year. What I enjoy about my profession is helping in surgeries. I love working in an office where I learn something new every day.
While away from work, I enjoy traveling, working out, reading and going to the beach.

Expanded Duties Assistant

I have worked as a dental assistant for 24 years, during which time I received my Expanded Duties Certification from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. In my years of assisting, I have worked in nearly every aspect of dentistry. I enjoy using that knowledge and experience to educate patients on needed procedures, and to help them to have a pleasant experience with our office.
Since moving from northern Indiana 4 years ago, I try to spend most of my free time with my husband and doggie soaking up the Florida sunshine on our boat or playing at the beach.

Monica

Surgical Assistant

I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida. During my first few years of school I assisted in an oral surgery office in South Florida. While continuing my education in Jacksonville, I worked with Dr. Field assisting part time. After graduation I worked at Shands Jacksonville in patient education before returning to work with Dr. Field full time. I enjoy assisting with a wide range of surgeries and take pride in catering to the unique needs of each patient during their visit.
In my free time in enjoy running, biking and tennis.

Carmen

Dental Hygienist

I have been a dental hygienist for 6 years now. I graduated from the FCCJ dental hygiene program in 2003. Then I worked in a cosmetic dentistry practice for 4 years. I enjoy changing the way people feel about dentistry and making it a pleasant experience. I prefer periodontology to general dentistry because I know we are truly saving our patients' health.
